The Green Bay Packers scored 17 straight fourth-quarter points and got a blocked field goal and a pair of interceptions to help create a comeback win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday at Soldier Field
The Packers trailed 10-0 and 16-3 in the first half, but Aaron Rodgers tossed a touchdown pass to Christian Watson late in the second quarter, A.J. Dillon ran in a 21-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, Dean Lowry blocked a 40-yard field goal attempt and Jaire Alexander intercepted Justin Fields after the Packers took a 20-19 lead.
Christian Watson provided the dagger after Alexander’s turnover on a 46-yard touchdown run on the first play following the two-minute warning. The ensuing two-point conversion sealed a 28-19 win.
Just for good measure, Keisean Nixon intercepted Fields inside the red zone to prevent any more scoring and allow Aaron Rodgers to kneel out the rest of the clock.
The victory in Chicago snapped a two-game losing streak and improved the Packers’ record to 5-8 through 13 games.
Dillon created 119 total yards, while Watson produced 94 total yards and a pair of scores. Alexander gave up two long completions but responded with a well-timed interception of Fields with 2:48 left.
Matt LaFleur’s team now enters the bye week in Week 14. The Packers will host the Los Angeles Rams at Lambeau Field in Week 15.
The win allowed the Packers to surpass the Bears for the most all-time wins in NFL history.
