Organizers with the Ox Hill Fair said that a decision will come at the end of July about the fate of the 2020 edition of the fair.
In a Facebook post, organizers say that they are waiting to see how local and state agencies inform them on the guidelines for large gatherings due to Covid-19. It is their hope that they will operate the fair this year, as it will celebrate the 85th anniversary of the event.
Coronavirus has cancelled several community events this year, including the Hoodlebug Festival in Homer City. Earlier this month, the Westmoreland County Fair cancelled their events, and Cambria County has already cancelled their fair. The Indiana County Fair board will announce a decision later today on whether or not to hold the fair set for August 30th to September 5th.
