The Denver Nuggets had quite a week, running their winning streak to an impressive eight games before the bottom fell out on Sunday afternoon against the Boston Celtics. The 105-87 loss was Denver’s first since the big trade that saw them acquire Aaron Gordon on March 27th.
The Nuggets are still arguably the hottest team in basketball despite their shocking Sunday afternoon display, having gone 3-1 last week and 8-2 in their last 10 games. They’ve catapulted themselves into the Western Conference’s No. 4 seed and now sit sandwiched between two L.A. teams, two games back of the Clippers and one game ahead of the Lakers.
The Denver Nuggets and all of the Denverites that live and work in the area know Mount Evans dominates any view you can get of the beautiful city. It is about as synonymous with the city of Denver as anything. It even adorns most of the Nuggets’ jerseys these days, so I thought it would be fitting to have our ‘who’s hot, who’s not week-in-review’ set against the backdrop of that beautiful peak, just like the city where our team plays.
We’re going to start at the bottom of the mountain where those that didn’t do so hot this week are stuck and struggling to gain any altitude, and move on up the mountainside until we get to the mountaintop 14,000 feet up, where Denver’s best and brightest over the past week have climbed—you can probably guess who’s perched up there this week.
