CONNORVILLE — Taking the stage to perform the first song of the night, Shawn Chrisagis, alongside his twin brother Brian, called Saturday night “a dream come true” for the gospel music duo addressing the crowd.
That dream realized inside the auditorium and halls of Buckeye Local High School was a “Night with the Stars” to promote the Chrisagis Brothers’ newest of 12 albums with three legends of the TV and movie industries.
Loni Anderson, best known for her role in WKRP in Cincinnati, Erik Estrada, known for starring in the series CHiPS, and Lindsay Wagner, remembered for her groundbreaking starring role as the Bionic Woman, were all on hand for the celebration.
The brothers said the crowd, comprised of fans of both the duo and the stars, consisted of people who purchased tickets from 19 states and three countries.
A press conference with the stars prior to the event included media outlets from as far away as Atlanta and Tampa Bay.
During the event itself, each of the three stars was presented a “Legacy Award” from the brothers and each featured in a video tribute, prior to taking the stage themselves and addressing the crowd and participating in a question-and-answer session with pastors.
The brothers performed several songs from the album, including the album namesake title track, “Let Heaven Overflow.”
The local duo have been conducting their ministry for 37 years.
In between songs and appearances by the stars, they shared parts of their own story and talked about the friendships they have formed with the three legends through their work.
Prior to the show on stage and during intermission, fans could meet, get autographs from and photographs with the stars.
During the conference, the stars, all in their 70s now, were asked about how they have stayed fit, what their inspiration was to be in the entertainment businesses, how they have tried to stay grounded and genuine and how they want to be remembered.
The meet-and-greet began shortly after 5 p.m. and the show on the stage at 6 p.m., with the event lasting well into the night until after 10 p.m.
