Rams Come Up Short in Game Two - CSURams.com

LOGAN, Utah – Colorado State was held to just one hit in game two at Utah State on Saturday afternoon, coming in the seventh inning from lead-off hitter Ashley Michelena. The senior hit a single to left center to give the Rams their second baserunner of the game. The other runner came in the fifth after an Aggies' fielding error but was retired after a double play.

The offensive slump wasn't from the lack of making contact with the ball, as the Rams did not strikeout once in the loss.

Jetta Nannen started in the circle and faced 19 batters and tossed 4 1/3 frames before Julia Cabral returned to the circle on relief. Cabral hurled game one on Friday with six innings. The two combined for two strikeouts, and Nannen was tagged with the loss and two earned runs.

Utah State scored first in the third frame after a solo homer and an in-field single in the fifth scored the second run.
