The crew spent the weekend shooting the heart of the film, which is being directed by Herman Johnson, with Story Mode Productions."Grief is something taken in a different manner in the black community," Johnson said. "I wanted to display that in the film, and I wanted to express how people grieve in different ways." It's a collective goal to showcase the talent Mississippi has to offer."There's not much opportunity here in Mississippi, which is why I wanted to come back home to film here, to give Mississippi actors opportunity to be in a movie," Amy Gibson said. The producers plan to wrap up production and begin submitting their work to film festivals and different streaming platforms. They will premiere the movie in Mississippi.
